Pacific Petcare Foundation is the realization of a dream by Dr. John Boyd of Pacific Petcare Veterinary Hospital located in the beautiful Carmel Valley-Del Mar area of San Diego, California. Pacific Petcare Foundation is a non-profit organization with 501c3 status. Dr. Boyd's dedication to animals and the community, and his vision for the future is evidenced by his words:
"The foundation was a natural outgrowth from our hospital where we've created a unique culture and nurtured remarkable relationships within the community. I am very proud to be part of this foundation. We have a fabulous board of trustees and I expect the foundation to act as a catalyst in animal welfare efforts as we organize and mobilize animal lovers worldwide."

Dr. Boyd founded Pacific Petcare of Carmel Valley (North County San Diego) in 1992 and continues to serve as Hospital Director. Through tenacious attention to detail and a focused vision, Dr. Boyd has led Pacific Petcare to being one of the finest primary care AAHA veterinary facilities in the country.
Dr. Boyd is a 1986 graduate of the UC Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine, one of the nation's leading veterinary medical schools.
Founder and CEO of Pacific Petcare Hospitals and Hotels, Inc., a veterinary management and development company.
Served on the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association’s executive board as well as the San Diego County Veterinary Medical Association’s Peer Review Committee.
Member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the International Veterinary Pain Relief Society, as well as numerous local, state and national veterinary associations and societies.
Founder and developer of Snug, a luxury, all inclusive, 25,000 square foot Pet Resort and Animal Hospital in San Diego, California.
